Terms of Service

1. Parties and agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are between you and Ed & Sy Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “Chart Rosetta”) and govern your access to and use of the Chart Rosetta website and services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the service

Chart Rosetta lets you upload images of charts and receive plain-English explanations. We offer a free tier with limited explanations per period and a paid “Pro” subscription with unlimited explanations and shareable links. We may change features, limits, or pricing with notice as described below.

3. Account and acceptable use

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it current. You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws.
• Upload content you do not have the right to use, or that is harmful, abusive, or infringing.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems.
• Abuse or overload the Service (e.g., automated scraping or circumventing usage limits).

We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law.

4. Payment and billing

Pro subscriptions are billed through our payment processor(s) (e.g., Stripe or Lemon Squeezy, depending on how you subscribe). You agree to pay all fees associated with your chosen plan. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Cancellation stops future charges but does not refund already-paid periods unless required by law or our refund policy. Refunds are handled in line with our payment processor’s and our published policy. Price changes will be communicated in advance and apply at the next renewal.

5. Your content and our license

You keep ownership of the chart images and other content you upload. You grant us a limited license to use and process that content only as necessary to provide the Service. Chart images are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) solely to generate plain-English explanations; we do not store your chart images and our AI provider does not use your content for training. We store only the text explanations we generate (and share tokens when you use sharing). We do not claim ownership of your data beyond this license and will not use your content for marketing or unrelated purposes without your consent.

6. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Explanations are generated by automated systems and we do not guarantee their accuracy, completeness, or suitability for any purpose. You use the Service and any explanations at your own risk. We disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ed & Sy Inc. and its affiliates, officers, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service or these Terms. Our total liability for any claims related to the Service or these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim arose, or one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD), whichever is greater.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access or account for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or for any other reason with notice where practicable. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution) will survive.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated by email or a notice in the Service. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing law and contact
